Wedding Photo Cards

A wedding invitation with your most beautiful pre-wedding photo is an intimate and personal way to tell the world the good news of your upcoming wedding. There are a lot of aspect to consider to give the best impression and the correct feeling; the angle of the shot, the way you and your-spouse-to-be portrayed in the photo, etc. If you are having a formal wedding, a picture with the both of you in tuxedo and wedding dress will do, but a casual wedding with a specific theme would be more difficult to portray.

You can put your photo on the outside or in the inside along with the invitation. A visit to your local printing shop would be in order; or you can choose to search online as it is easier and less stressful; well, at least you will have no sore feet and no driving around, personally I like this option better.

Open the internet and search trustworthy sites which offer you various photo wedding invitations; a site I found useful is Shutterfly (www.shutterfly.com). Basically, they offer two sizes; a 4×3 and 5×7 with your photo attached in front and the invitation inside with glossy or matte photo paper. The one I like most about this site is how simple they are; you just need to choose a border, add your picture of choice, a little personal message and voila!

Or, you can do this the traditional way. Go to your local printing companies and ask them whether they support this option. If so, choose your design (or you can bring your own!)

Found correct paper; don’t underestimate this as the correct paper will put help you to give the first impression of how your wedding could be. Make sure they match the overall wedding theme color; you can play with the color a bit but make sure they complement each other. There are a lot to choose from, so pick your time and if necessary ask for a sample and discuss it with someone; fabric-wise and price-wise.

Pick a font and match them with your wedding theme; a script font or rage italic will look excellent with very formal to formal wedding while comic sans or Calibri would put forward the feeling of informality and casual.

Composed the correct wording. Basically, it will depend on who’s paying and the status of the marriage; as each wedding is different from another; make sure you also portray the uniqueness of your relationship.

Always ask for free samples, either you are shopping online or the local printing company next block. This is essential, especially if you choose to order online as some invitation would look a bit different in reality. Also, this way you could compare them side by side; it will help tremendously also because you need to match the photo with the design.

Order your selection and don’t forget to include your choice of photo and make sure to do this at least 5 months before hand, so you have plenty of time to write down the address and post them across the country.
