Wedding Ceremony Music

In wedding holy handbook, ceremony is considered the most sacred part of the whole events. It is the event of which two persons declared their love and their union in holy matrimony. But no matter how sacred it was in the past, the idea of having a formal wedding isn’t that appealing like it was in the pass. These days, some people would prefer to have a more intimate and casual wedding, rather than those stuffy formal wedding (remember the British Royal Wedding? I would think twice before I sit through that) If such is your case, then your reception songs selection are suppose to be a mix collection of classical stuff, or an instrumental rendition of popular songs and other genre of your choice.

Picking classical stuffs is easier, but it is more difficult for the more contemporary songs.

For those who would love to stick to classical and instrumental piece, anything by Mozart is always a good choice. It’s timeless, classic, regal, and agreeable to most ears. Be sure to pick the best orchestra though, a bad one would make your wedding into a nightmare. However for those who thought that Mozart’s is too sweet (but again, seriously, a Gothic Wedding?! ‘Helena is not wedding song!), you can choose other song.
Or, if you think classic aren’t your virtue and you don’t want to be over-formal with your wedding, you can find some instrumental love songs. Things like these are good choice, especially if you aren’t sure your guests appreciate all the Mozart pieces. Finding some of the newer, more popular songs is simpler sometimes but if you don’t have any clue, try Disney.

  • A Whole New World — Aladdin
  • So This is Love — Cinderella
  • Can You Feel the Love Tonight? — The Lion King
  • Once Upon a Dream — Sleeping Beauty
  • Beauty and the Beast — Beauty and the Beast
  • Bella Notte — Lady and the Tramp
  • When You Wish Upon a Star — Pinocchio
  • Love — Robin Hood
  • You’ll Be in My Heart — Tarzan
  • Colors of the Wind — Pocahontas

Those are just some ideas I deemed safe to use, but if you are up to some challenge; pick whatever you like and don’t restrain yourself into one specific genre. R&B with a sprinkle of fusion Jazz? No problem, as long as you keep the romantic mood that is.
