Some Casual Wedding Decoration Ideas

For those brides or grooms who want to have an informal wedding, a poolside reception is not a bad idea. This type of reception will fill your wedding reception day with friendly feelings and keep you away of those uptight feelings in a formal hotel reception. It’s more casual style wedding, as both you and your spouse can easily interact with the guests, leaving all the formalities behind.

But this kind of arrangement requires your creativity to turn your pool into one big centerpiece. One good suggestion is to make a raft from Styrofoam (or any light material that float), add your own design of lantern at top of it and let it floating. Just remember to keep it as simple but beautiful centerpiece.

Hang a combination of floral arrangements across the rooftop; consult with your florist to match the theme. We personally recommend strings of tropical orchids, white rose, carnations and asters all tied with one simple bow. Some old vintage lanterns (try to visit an antique store to get these lantern) hang around the premises are nice addition.

Create some nice spots where the elder guests could sit and relax for a while. A series of tents or gazebos from silk along with nice cozy chairs are good to have. These spots would perfect for small-group of people to have their own chat away from general crowd. Decorate this small haven with a bouquet of green chrysanthemum that lay artistically across the table, ivy sprigs wave around the post, bouquet of red flower and then lantern on top of it.

To create a successful wedding decoration, create a Gate or entrance that would give the guest the taste of what’s the wedding theme about. A series of lanterns should be placed systematically to create pathways that will lead the guests to main room. Connect each and every lantern with strings of flower; fully-bloomed big-bud rose (from deep red to white color) for classic feelings or orchard / jasmine flowers for something more exotic. Consult your florist and match them up with your budget. Local flowers are often cheaper than imported ones, thus you can create more beautiful flower arrangement with much less money.

In conclusion, in choosing the best decoration idea, don’t limit your imagination. You can think as crazy as and as big as you want. Or you can also go to other wedding party to find some inspirations. After you got few best alternatives, just mix it up in your mind and choose the best wedding decoration that suit your budget and personality.
